Gloomy Sunday

Right at this very moment, there isn't any right words can be uttered to ease your pain.
I am sorry I could not put smiles on your face, but one thing for sure is when you're crying,
I'll be there crying together with you...

Abracadabra

Evangelione makes really great handmade dolls and miniature houses. Her designs are very delicate and they're all beautiful. The items in the miniature house are super tiny! Oh, boy.. she really have great crafting skills, or perhaps I should say she owns a pair of magic hand! She's is really a rare talent!

If you want to learn a thing or two, she has tutorials on her blog, I swear you'd be amazed with what she can do! Love them all! I am planning to get a doll from her soon, you should too!

The morning after

Roxette
I was listening to Roxette - Joyride, then I thought of the the female singer, Marie Fredriksson. She's the inspiration behind this drawing. :)

Missing your touch.

Have you ever done something darn embarrassing you feel like digging a hole and bury yourself? This was exactly how I felt.

Who's Lucky?

Sorry there hasn't been any updates, work started to bombard me again just right after I came back from London. It's really good, work equals to cash. No one should ever complain about that. Will post up some pictures of London soon.

It's time for me to announce the lucky draw winners from Urbanscapes. 2 winners will get one necklace each, how cool is that?! They're all one of a kind, are you feeling lucky yet? Result will be out on 31st August. Stay tuned!

Urbanscapes

Urbanscapes was good. Much more organized than last year. It was just too bad that I was too tired to linger around and take some pictures. I managed to catch a sleep for an hour, or shall I say a nap. I wouldn't say business was very good, but I was happy with the responses. Be it good or bad. I wanna  shout out a big thanks to those who purchased my necklaces. You have no idea how much in the world it means to me. Thank you! Thank you so much for adopting my precious babies! They're all one of a kind, be good to them! :)

Oh well, I've took a few pathetic pictures of my very pathetic stall. Will post up more pictures of my necklaces soon. If you have anything in mind, please let me know.

Maple grieves...

Time flies. It has already been a week I'm in Adelaide, the weather is really cold. I'm afraid of cold, but KL is super hot right now. It's kind of a nice place to chill and put all the problems aside, for now. I'm missing my sis a lot and am really happy to see her. I don't feel like leaving her so soon, unfortunately I'm not traveling alone and my friend is already feeling bored here. Sigh... I'm heading to Melbourne either end of this week or next Monday, depending on flight availability. I'm planning to visit some art galleries and markets. I'm feeling inspired already!

All I want for Christmas is you

Sorry for all these blog-diarrhea thing, I have no idea what's going on with me today. I just can't refrain myself from posting, plus I really don't have time to blog. Nevermind about that, let's just focus on the picture above, some necklaces I did last year; the Christmas series that I gave out to 1. my cousin, Pearly, 2. my sis, Jane and 3. my friend, Chloe. My sister lost the pendant when she was out clubbing! I'm sad. Rest in peace, yo!

The sweet smell of dawn

I have recently met with Mawk, a self-taught artist and a sign language interpreter by day; one of the founder of Bulu-bulu Studio.

Frankly, I don't really dig hand-painted shoes and have not seen good ones in KL, but Mawk did a great job on her hand-painted shoes and tote bags. Her designs are very intricate and the shoes are one-off; ranges from RM60- RM200 above. Here are some pictures of her collaboration with PMS (Project Muff-Stit).

This is a limited edition tee up for grab for only AUD$35 @ PMS. Mail them at projectmuffstit@gmail.com

Quack quack quack...

I haven't had the time to blog.. I haven't been drawing for quite some time already. No inspiration at the moment. Well, I've tried to do some paintings, but failed miserably. Freelance jobs are bombarding me at the moment, they come all together at the same time. Sucky jobs, but they pay all the bills, so i can't really complain much. Was planning to go to KL Design Week, wasn't in the mood to be bothered about it at all.

The only project that I enjoyed was a logo design for a restaurant. It will be in the city of KL. I showed the client the first round and it was positive. I was supposed to show him 3 options, was too excited and ended up showing him 6 options! He was happy with my work and I'm glad he knew what he wants, which makes my task simpler. Now there are some changes need to be done on the logos. I am hoping for more good vibes as life has not been treating me well for the past few months!

I'll post up some necklaces I made last month. Pardon me for lack of updates.. procrastinating is officially my middle name. Urgh.. I really need to buck up and stop looking for excuses! Not good.

You're so beautiful it hurts...

I love pretty stuff, like who doesn't? Well... sometimes I dig beautiful ugly stuff too. It can be quite boring too if the stuff are just pretty pretty, without soul in it.

I'd love to be able to read one's mind too. Haha. Naww.. just their thoughts maybe on design and doing business? I suck at doing business. I am learning...

It's pretty interesting when you get to read one's thought. It gets addictive too when that person caught your attention. I am now so obsessed with Paul Rand. He was a well-known American graphic designer, best known for his corporate logo designs and he was also one of the originators of the Swiss Style of graphic design. He's a painter lecturer, industrial designer, advertising artist,  an idealist and a realist. I have been reading all his articles and find his thoughts very enlightening and interesting. I went back to the site and re-read some articles. It really open up my mind as lately I feel so demotivated. Thank God for Paul Rand! I still haven't finished up reading the last time I visited his site. Black in the Visual Arts is still one of my favourite.

Diamonds are forever...

Mind my title, I know it has nothing got to do with what I am gonna say later... May it has a little? Haha. It just keeps playing in my mind. Nevermind about that.

I stumbled upon a design site, featured some gorgeous illustrations from our very talented Malaysian artist. I know we have lots of talented Malaysian designers/artists. I am gonna dig them out one by one. *laughs* Okay..back to our very talented Malaysian illustrator. She's Lock Sin. Her works are very detail and neat. Love the colours, sometimes dreamy and could be dark too. Her works remind me of Aya Kato. I know they're different. Both madness. Did I mention she's as gorgeous as her illustrations? She's not only good in illustrations, her fashion style rocks too. You should check out her works here and her blog.

Love is beautiful

I have been saving all my links in my del.icio.us and I think it's best that I publish them on my blog, so I get to view all the great works whenever I want to rather than them sitting in my bookmarks. Here is one of my favourite fashion illustrator, Cecilia Carlstedt from New York.

Artrage Lab by Bijou Bazaar

An artwork I did for Bijou Bazaar a couple of months ago.
